Primary, Elementary, Middle School, High School students and Adults
Purpose & Objectives:
-To provide children with creative experiences in the Visual Arts through Creative Art Workshops, using Creative Concepts using different artistic mediums and mixed media.
-To enable the children to visually express their infinite imagination, ideas, emotions and feelings.
-To integrate the creative experiences with cross-curricular connections of different levels related to the existing curriculum of various subjects like, Visual Arts, Math, Media Literacy, Language Arts, Science and Social Studies , thus providing children with a wholesome experience.
-To connect and harmonise the creative process with cultural traditions of various communities, thus promoting and unifying cultures and traditions of various communities and creating a sense of inclusiveness and celebration amongst the children.
-To instigate individual thinking, as well as team spirit in the children, thus promoting independent learning and sharing of ideas.
-To also provide creative experiences together for parents and children, increasing parent to child bonding and interaction, via creative and visual expression, through sharing of ideas, imagination, emotions and feelings.

- Mixed Media Art, Social Justice themed art, Eco-justice themed art, Team-building workshops, Artist-inspired Art, Functional Art, Dot Painting, Line Art designs, Paint Like The Masters, Paper Collage, Foil Sculptures, Nature-inspired Painting and Sculptures, Story-boarding, Stop Motion Animation, Poster designing, Logo designing, Slideshow presentations, Editing, Graphic Designing, Motion Graphics, Batik Painting, Stained Glass Painting and many more.
Requirements:
- Basic Tools/Materials (provided by Organisation)
- Basic Colour Mediums (provided by Organisation)
- Workshop Supplies (as per Workshop Charges)
- Camera - to click photographs of the creative process (If required - Provided by Workshop Conductor)
- Cameras/Tripods/Netbooks/Cables/Speakers/Related Equipment - (If required for Photography/Animation based Workshop - Provided by Organization)
- Laptop for Slide Show (If required - Provided by Organization)
- Projector (If required - Provided by Organization)
Basic Tools/Materials:
pencils, erasers, rulers, glue, glue sticks, paint brushes, bowls, colour palettes, plastic sheets, plastic plates, easels, paper, white board/markers, black board/chalk, sticky tape, recycled materials, etc.
Medium:
pastels, crayons, pencil crayons, markers, sharpies, water colours, tempera paints, acrylics.
Workshop Supplies:
Additional Mediums: fabric dyes, fabric, types of paper, oil paints, chalk, charcoal, foil, etc.
Construction Materials: additional paper, foam, sponge, felt paper, felt cloth, popsicle sticks, ribbon, pompoms, googly eyes, craft wire, string, etc.
Sculpting materials: clay, air-drying modelling clay, play dough, plasticine.
Enhancing materials: beads, gems, sequins, glitter, glitter glue, stickers, etc.
Miscellaneous: additional supplies required according to each concept/workshop.
Creative Process:
- Define Concept along with curriculum/cultural connection and inspiration.
- Introduce and Demonstrate steps with sample creation and/or slide show
- Mini -task assigned to small groups of children for basic understanding (Optional- if required)
- Distribute Workshop Supplies, materials and tools
- Help children create
- Create and Integrate with cross-curricular connections of Visual Arts , Math, Media Literacy, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, Music and Dance
- Harmonise with cultural and traditional connections
- Recount the creative process
- Review and Reflect
